It's funny how when you are getting older you are drawn back to your roots.
Mine are in Wolverton and this museum holds my roots.
The tram was driven by my grandfather, I remember the garage and my father bought me a moped like that when I was 16.
All the exhibits are interesting and all the volunteers are really easy to talk to. (A shout out to the chap with a stick in the transport hall)
I am coming back soon with another relative and hope to donate a few small heirlooms

It was like going back through time and the History of Milton Keynes before the city was established.

Very kid friendly. Staff are very nice. Lots of interactive things to do. Staff know a lot about the place and make it very interesting. Also, when you buy a ticket you can use the same ticket for a whole year!

Great day out that's more than a museum for community to be involved as a visitor experience to volunteers to maintain

Such a great museum but so much more than that. Every visit is an experience with themed events all throughout the year so every visit is different. A ticket gives you annual access and our children never get bored of going there. The cafe is also great with reasonable prices and freshly made food and cakes. Don't forget the sweets shop in the Victorian street!

I come here every month for the past 4 years and I've seen it change a lot which is cool. It's got lots of old things and there's a new section that's opened up with fossils, it's quite interesting. Kept hearing a lot of the volunteers screaming at the toddlers because they were holding a phone wrong. Clearly they can't communicate with them properly. Nice café.

We had a lovely visit to the museum on a chilly November day. The staff/volunteers were all brilliant. Really interesting and informative. We loved that we were allowed to touch the artefacts and try out the gramophones etc. We didn't have time to see all the things outside, but the ticket is valid for a year, so we'll be back. Everything is on one floor, and wheelchair accessibility is not bad. Some of the reconstructed shops are a little small to get a wheelchair into, but generally accessibility is good.

Good place to visit with children or without. The ticket once purchased lasts all year. We was there only for few hours and didn't manage to see everything. Could easily spend all day there. Staff explaining and telling about parts of history in almost every room, very interesting and informative. Grand room with old phones and how they used to work with the switchboards. The café could have had more choice on the menu but otherwise fine.

Fantastic experience, all the volunteers where very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, we where able to interact with lots of the museum pieces. We cooked some toast on the old stove and learned lots from the volunteer about Victorian kitchens. And really enjoyed the recreation of a Victorian Street. The ticket is worth the price as it’s an annual pass. I’m looking forward to coming back when the new Bronze Age exhibit opens.
A great way to spend your Sunday afternoon. 5 stars

It was a great place to visit on a cold and cloudy Sunday.
The museum stand out for the amount of interactive activities and equipment that they let you get your hands on so that you understand better how things worked and how people lived back in the day.
It’s a great museum and the volunteers running each room are all very friendly and easy to talk to and they are full of knowledge!
Would recommend for anyone that is looking for things to visit in MK!
